Norman M. Pokras, D.D.S., M.S.D.
Dr. Pokras has been selected Chief of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Long Beach Memorial, Long Beach Community, and Lakewood Regional Hospitals. This distinguished surgeon is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He is a graduate of Temple University, School of Dentistry, in Philadelphia. He trained at Newark City Hospital and was a resident at Harlem Hospital in New York. He earned a Masters Degree in oral pathology through a grant provided by the American Cancer Society, New York University.
Prior to opening his private practice, Dr. Pokras served in the Air Force as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Travis Air Force Base. Dr. Pokras is a respected leader in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. His training and skill coupled with his compassion for patients have made him the standard of excellence.
